Welcome to the Sunday Times 2015 Hotel of the Year…

What is Foxhill Manor?

Simply put, Foxhill is a private manor-house hotel in the Cotswolds, with eight unique bedrooms and suites. But that doesn’t quite do it justice. A Grade-II listed Arts and Crafts country home refreshed and revitalised for the 21st century, Foxhill Manor is a new type of stay: all the character and charm of a boutique-hotel hideaway, served up with heartfelt personal service and an easygoing at-home atmosphere. Trust us, you’ll love it.

Where is Foxhill Manor?

Our manor is set within its own little grounds on the 400-acre woodland estate of Farncombe, in the Cotswolds, a lazy stroll from the pretty village of Broadway and a couple of minutes’ drive from our big-sister hotel, Dormy House. We’re about an hour and a half out of London by car.

What’s included in the room rate?

Almost everything. As well as your room, the rate covers a full breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day, and all sorts of other little surprises. It also includes a shuttle service to and from Dormy House or Broadway village, as well as the dedicated attention of your personal host who is on hand at the front desk 24 hours a day and daily housekeeping and turn-down service. The only things you need to pay extra for are lunch, dinner or any bottles you happen to pluck from the Foxhill wine cellar.

Also included in the rate for Foxhill Manor guests is the option to whizz up the hill to Dormy House to use the House Spa (treatments are extra) – we’ll take you up and back, so no need to worry about avoiding a glass or two in the Champagne nail bar if it takes your fancy.

Is dinner available?

Of course! Our chef will creates a four-course menu every-day from local farmed and foraged fair. However, you can go ‘off-piste’ and ask Chef to whip up anything you particularly like. (Our motto at Foxhill is: ‘whatever you fancy, wherever you fancy it’.) You can eat in our cosy restaurant, in your room or suite, or pop up to sister hotel Dormy House for a meal at either of the restaurants there.

Checking-in and out

Guests are able to check into the Manor from 3pm on the day of arrival, but do feel free to come earlier and explore the estate or pop in for lunch. We hate goodbyes so it is always just ‘ciao for now’ and that is at 12 noon on the day of departure. Until next time…

Cancelling your stay at the Manor

We hope you don’t! But if circumstances mean that you can no longer make it, there’s no charge as long as you cancel more than seven days before your booked arrival date. If you have to cancel within seven days of arrival, you’ll be charged for the first night of your stay – unless we can find another lucky guest for your room, in which case you’re off the hook.

Can I come with a group?

You can book up to three rooms for your group at the Manor (unfortunately guests are not able to invite non-residents) – if you need more than that then your booking will become a house party (whoop!) and you’ll need to book Foxhill for exclusive use.

Can I bring the kids?

Families with children over the age of 12 are welcome at Foxhill Manor. For those with younger children, check out our family-friendly sister hotel Dormy House just up the road. If you are booking Foxhill Manor on an exclusive-use basis, then children of all ages are welcome to stay.

Are dogs welcome?

Absolutely. Four-legged guests over the age of one are always welcome at the Manor. We charge £30 per dog per stay, which includes a cosy dog bed, treats guaranteed to get tails wagging, and a delicious doggy menu created by our Chef. We ask that younger dogs are kept within their own cages when staying in the rooms, just to avoid any little playful mishaps.

Is smoking allowed?

Please note that smoking isn’t permitted in the Manor.
